Note: Displays and related components vary widely within this product family. The instructions given are for reference only and may not apply directly to the model on which you are working. It is suggested that you consult the Maintenance Manual for procedures that apply to your specific computer.

1. Remove the three strips of glass tape securing the cables to the display housing.
2. Remove the mask seal on the right side of the display housing.
3. Remove three M2.5x4 and three M2.5x6 screws from the locations shown.
4. Separate the display housing from the upper cover.

5. Turn the upper cover over.
6. Lift the glass tape securing the LCD/contrast cable.
7. Remove the plastic cable brace and unthread the cable through the opening in the upper cover.

8. To remove the FL cable, remove the plastic cable brace on the opposite corner.
9. Unthread the FL cable through the opening in the upper cover.

1. Thread the FL cable through the opening in the upper cover.
2. Replace the plastic cable brace.
3. Thread the LCD/contrast cable through the opening in the upper cover.
4. Replace the plastic cable brace and the strip of glass tape.
5. Rejoin the display housing and upper cover.
6. Secure the display housing to the display hinges with three M2.5x4 and three M2.5x6 screws.
7. Route the cables and replace the three strips of glass tape.
