(TAIS) today announces the Satellite® 1715XCDS, a value-priced, high-quality notebook dressed in a stylish new chassis with an all-in-one design. Incorporating convenience features such as external CD control keys, a one-touch Internet access button and Microsoft’s newly introduced operating system, Windows Millennium Edition (Windows® ME), the new Satellite® is the ideal notebook PC for students, families and SOHO customers.
"Consumers are increasingly demanding more from their computing devices and the multimedia features included with them," said Steve Andler, vice president of marketing, Toshiba CSG. "Not only do they expect their notebooks to serve the role of a computing workhorse and CD player, but they expect these attributes to be effortless. By

Features to Complement the Multimedia Enthusiast’s Lifestyle
Designed to deliver the optimal mobile computing experience for the student, family or SOHO user, the Satellite® 1715XCDS is equipped with CD playback function keys for skip/search and play/stop capabilities, enabling users to access their music without interruption to what they were working on. In addition, Toshiba’s sound system with stereo speakers delivers crisp, clear sound quality that is ideal for listening to MP3 files. An Internet access button gives users the freedom to hop on the Internet or access their e-mail in no time at all. New Operating System Brings Families Closer Together
